my feelings about taylor swift can be swiftly (excuse the pun) summed up by this
“When Beyoncè was Swift’s age, she was onstage with Destiny’s Child, proclaiming: “The house I live in / I’ve bought it / The car I’m driving / I’ve bought it / All the women who are independent / Throw your hands up at me!”
this is as opposed to the kind of virgin/whore dichotomies which feature in taylor swift’s most popular songs
the original article was written in feb 2010 in the midst of the whole kanye taking the mike from her thing, but it is good stuff
